The Festival Of The Oceans is the 'Nautical Exposition' of the Summer Sailstice In Second Life.
Now in its third year at Samphire Creek in Erik region as well as in neighbouring Hrosskell region, the Festival will run between June 20th and June 27th 2025 inclusive.
We have displays by over 40 exhibitors including boatbuilders both new and established, sailing clubs and nautical equipment suppliers.
There's also a program of events including a series of exciting demonstrations by the Second Life Coast Guard with parachuting and search-and-rescue, and by the Second Life Environmental Corps.
A dramatic live-fire age-of-sail fleet battle will be staged by N+K Ships, with visitors invited to take part and actually be aboard some of the vessels during the fight; the annual Tall Ships Parade, and a flotilla of Coast Guard vessels; a three-hour mermaid dance and light show extravaganza by Mermaids Of The Marianas; DJ sets by Dj Jess ღThiessam; Sky Pirates too... I could go on, but instead I want you to come along and see for yourselves! The timetable of events will be available from the Festival arrival point from 20th June.
