When you purchase a material from us you will receive both a PBR version and a “Legacy” version which includes Diffuse, Specular and Normal (bump) textures.

MATERIAL DESCRIPTION:

This bright orange glazed plaster wall is fairly glossy and reflective. Varying levels of roughness combined with the normal map results in an irregular faceted surface that looks cool as the light passes across it.

Let’s break down exactly what you will get with this purchase:

1 x Compiled PBR material - You can immediately apply this to any surface face or object. You will need a PBR enabled viewer to use this.

A set of legacy textures that will allow you to create a non PBR version of the material that consists of:

> 1 x Diffuse texture - Includes baked in ambient occlusion
> 1 x Normal texture
> 1 x Specular texture

> 1 x PBR Base Color texture - this can be used in hybrid PBR/legacy texture builds. Instructions on how to create hybrid PBR/legacy texture builds are included.

We strive to make the legacy textures look as close to the PBR version as possible, however this is not always achievable when it comes to highly reflective surfaces as this is where PBR really shines!

LICENCE INFORMATION

You may use our full perm PBR materials and legacy textures in your own prim, sculptie or mesh creations and are allowed to sell those creations within Second Life and on the SL Marketplace for profit.

You may use our full perm PBR materials and legacy textures in any imagery or video that you create within Second Life, including endeavours that generate profit.

You cannot sell, redistribute or give away any of our full perm PBR materials and legacy textures under any circumstances.

ABOUT OUR PRODUCT IMAGES

All images of our PBR materials are taken using the official viewer with graphics set to ultra. We use a variety of PBR compatible EEP environments and sometimes use a Reflection Probe and additional lighting to best showcase the PBR materials.

ENVIRONMENTS AND EEP SETTINGS

As of writing this (Spring 2024) the current default environment (EEP) in SL is not the best for viewing PBR. There is too much blue light in the sky and PBR surfaces viewed within the default environment may look “too blue”.

We advise that you strive to use PBR in more suitable PBR friendly environments by either adjusting your existing EEP settings, creating new ones from scratch or acquiring PBR compatible EEP’s from other creators.

REFLECTION PROBES

It’s advisable to place Reflection Probes around PBR surfaces when used within interior spaces.
