The Petit trianon is a small palace built near the palace of versailles (Paris) designed by one of the most renowned architect of it's day Jacques gabriel as a secondary residence for the sovereign and his most intimate circle of friends. Designed in the neoclasscial style, the building was completed in 1769 considered one of the most harmonious and elegant models of this new architectural style from the period.
Recreated with accuracy, the building is presented as a simple cube (reminiscences of the Greek temples) with each one of the facades soberly detailed.
the facades being limestone, they are elevated on a ground floor covered with Italian padding, designed as a form of pedestal on which two main stories rise, these are decorated with balustrades, corbels, pediments, cornices and alternating pilasters with Corinthian columns depending on the facade.
The building presents a differenciation on height between the different facades both levels are accessible by doors and stairs in the case of the elevated one.
Have been recreated the interiors of the first two floors with a total of 19 rooms, the main floor being located on the second level (as in vogue with the aristocratic buildings of the 18th century)
The entrance hall doubles as the grand staircase, which as a standard, it was designed in a monumental way as an exterior room within the interior, it's distinguish the contrast between the sober mineral walls and the sumptuousness of the wrought iron and gilt bronze balustrade recreated in mesh with the départ crwned wth it's urn and the medallions with roosters (symbol of france)
This room also serves as a distributor for the private rooms and reception rooms.
These second ones are made up of a serie of four spacious rooms each with its extremely refined, and elegant sets of boiseries (all acurate), fireplaces in different carved marbles, and gilt bronze mirrors, and all it's original hardware and locks.
wreaths of roses, garlands of fruits, horns of abundance intertwined with leaves of vines and arabesques, all the motifs of the wood carvings are vegetables related, common theme throughout the interiors.
The private apartment (originally the Queen Marie Antoinette's) of more intimate dimensions consists of four rooms, the largest room being the bedroom decorated with panels carved with delicate flowers and mirrors as well as the original fireplace in marbre d'alep.
On one side stands a small cabinet, decorated with fragile arabesques in blue tones and provided with a mechanical system to seal the windows, as well as a carrara marble fireplace.
Across the bedroom the main apartment is completed with a bathroom and one more room on the.
On this floor one also finds the room originally occupied by the second staircase for more bedrooms in the attic (which will be built in the future knowing the demand)
The ground floor consists of three fine rooms, plus a serie of rooms reserved for servants, distribution corridors as well as the warming kitchen, built in place to heat meals (but not to be cooked on) which includes the fireplace and stove.

Very detail replica of the original building
This amount of details requires quite a lot of research. Even the paintings, fireplace and mirrors are replicated. I just have to add furniture. And I'm surprised the moveable mirrors are reproduced here. Worth every penny.
The best on Second life
Highly recommended!
