The Rome Series - Temple of Jupiter Feretrius
The temple is part of our brand new Roma Series and the largest temple in this series. According to ancient records, this was the oldest temple in Rome. Romulus himself dedicated it to the god Jupiter after winning a battle. The meaning of the epithet Feretrius and the location of the temple are still unclear. However, it can be assumed that Jupiter Feretrius was the god to whom the trophies of the victorious battles were presented.
