Although the Thistle is undoubtedly Victorian, old records kept at the town hall mention an older origin, betrayed by its ensuite rooms (no lobby, except the staircase one). It might have been first an austere Georgian grey stone house, which was later decorated with more fancy features (bay window, balconies fences, gingerbread...).

The Thistle House witnessed changes in its inner distribution to follow its owners needs through the ages: a bathroom was built in the latest years of the 19th century, in the former scullery next to the kitchen.

Its last inhabitants before you were, as you might guess by the wallpapers , a family with a little boy and a teenage girl. It is modifiable, so you may change it to suit your needs if you wish...

The Thistle features 1 big drawing-room, 1 dining-room with bay-window, a kitchen, a bathroom with victorian bath, sink & wc, and upstairs 2 large bedrooms, a smaller one, and a balcony.

The upper front windows textures swap on touch if more privacy is wished.

This build was freely inspired by a house located in fact not in Edinburgh, but in Inverness :).
