Rose Cottage, copy/mod,59 prims

What a Lovley looking house.
it looks like a castle,because
of the towers,and the rooms are
plenty big anought for my furniture.
and its low prims. :)
and its well priced.
and I have also recomeded this house
to friends.

Worth every penny. My only complaint is the roof on the tower isn't solid so anyone can get in, but this is easily fixed by crafting a simple box and setting its transparency to 99%. 5/5 awesome home!!!

I'm going to compare and contrast this building with the basically-matching "Rose Cottage Winter&Summer,59 prims, partly mesh". (See their store for more matching buildings.)

First, this really will fit on a normal 512-sqm lot. Space is smartly saved by using some "teleporter" doors instead of interior stairs. The widest parts are the base of the foundation and the filigree at the very top of the roof. (In my first install of it, part of the foundation was underground, but there's no accessible rooms in it anyway.) ALWAYS move the Rez Box to adjust the location. Be SURE you always have a Rez Box in Inventory.

I absolutely LOVED the first-floor's rear stone balcony. I could almost see Romeo and Juliet there!

The first floor rooms are very cramped, but the second floor's one room is a decent size and the tower room is a full decent-size circle (no stairs to steal space). Note: Except for the tower, the side-turrets are not reflected in the rectangular room layouts (it IS under 50 prims).

The exterior appearance is a Marvel -- simply outstanding. Almost worthy of a real castle, not just a manor house. And the interior looks very authentic (you supply the fireplaces).

Now, in the "Rose Cottage" above, you get BOTH summer & winter buildings (this is only summer), and the rooms are far larger. BUT that "cottage" is too wide for the length of a normal 512-sqm lot (the exterior roses and the roof's filigree hang over).

I just bought both, and am in the process of fitting them both onto a 2048-sqm lot. They loo great together, and I haven't even laid out the well, etc.

NOTE: If you need a decently-matching low wall to go around these buildings, I recommend "Ivy Covered Tan Brick Privacy Screen Wall Panel, Tileable Ivy overgrown Stone wall For Builders, Mauer, Hedge 7103" which comes in one infinitely-copyable section.

Well its a great lil piece, but was a bit too big for my skybox, had to make some adjustments. over all very nice textures.
