During SL daylight hours, this clever and attractive hourglass counts down the time to sundown and displays it in floating text. At night, it shuts off the display. It's a great conversation piece, and practical too.
To use, you must be on a sim that has a normal SL day cycle (that is, a 4 hour day: 3 hours of daylight followed by 1 hour of night). If your sim owner has set a fixed sun, the display will not show a meaningful time. HOWEVER, you can easily turn the display off and still have an attractive-looking hourglass.
The hourglass must experience one sunrise to initialize its script properly. So, rez your new hourglass, wait for the next sunrise, and it will work properly.
A descriptive notecard and instructions are included in the hourglass, accessible through a touch-activated dialog.
