Tested on a bento Catwa head (Kimberly) With skins by YS&YS, Pink Fuel, and Glam Affair.
It works
So I was using my Genus head, and a "shine" materials somehow got stuck on, the clear button wouldn't remove it, the -reset to default- wouldn't remove it, and it seemed like the shine was stuck in a materials layer, so I was suggested this, and it worked!
It didn't work
Why 4 stars if it didn't work? Because this is a great idea but the skin I wanted to use it on had blush in a area not covered by this applier. Maybe it will work on another skin in the future. Thanks for offering it for free.

I had a problem removing a demo skin, I used this to remove the demo skin and it worked perfectly.
