There are a lot of hats in second life, but very few worth wearing. Here at the Mad Hatter, we design our hats based on real world models. We use highly detailed textures scaled to fit the hat. We test our our hats inworld. I will not sell a hat I wouldn't wear myself.
The Fedora Hat is closely based on the shape of the hats worn by Humphrey Bogart in the 1940's.
It is a popular hat in RL and we hope it will become so in SL as well. 100% original mesh hat. Light felt texture is tintable so you can change the color if you want.. Non-rigged mesh so you can stretch it to fit along xyz axis, tilt it back, or pull the brim down low. The choice is yours.
Perfect Hat
As a shape it is a Borsalino (the brand of Bogart's hat in the final scene of the Casablanca film) not a Fedora: stiffer and with a tighter brim.
As an Italian I find this article perfect: well proportioned, no rigged mesh perfectly adjustable by the viewer, consistent at the viewing distance, at a very fair price...
