Very nice outfit
I'm using the maitreya Lara body and the outfit fit perfectly. It looked great too. Nice job. I only wish it had a cap to go with it but hey, you can't have everything.
Nice added value to a quality product
Toasties has taken an existing product and added several features that significantly increase the value of this version. For Maitreya, AutoHide has been added. Even though the outfit is nearly a perfect fit without hiding your body, there will be animations that will show skin. Hiding your body solves this problem. However, this appears to be an older version of AutoHide that does not properly undo when you remove the outfit. This is not a big deal and many outfits simply need a Show All when done.
A more significant enhancement is the choice of 5 colour combinations. For dressage, white slacks are the norm with a dark jacket of black, navy, hunter green, or crimson. For the field, a brown jacket and tan slacks are nice since you just know you will get dirty! My only hesitation here would be that a contrasting color of white trim might have been nice for the dressage textures but instead the colour of the jacket extends into the trim.
The whip is actually a riding crop, which is far more gentle to the horse. However, even better would be not to use the crop at all and it is optional. The position of the crop is set for racing, but to extend your "arm" for the horse to receive visual directions, you would need to shift the position of the crop. Then again, the reins should do this job without the need for the crop at all.
As mentioned in another review, the boots are quite long, even for my slightly tall avatar (1.78 meters). You will need to edit them if you use them (again, they are optional). For this you can change the z in size from 0.7+ to the length you require. For me, 0.525 worked well. You cannot decrease the size using Stretch. Instead, select Edit Linked and click on each boot to make your adjustments. I tried some other boots, but found none I liked that had a flat foot and reached my knees, necessary to cover my legs and bottom edge of the slacks.
All in all, this product is well worth the price and will be a valuable addition to my wardrobe!
Mostly pretty decent
The clothing itself works fine for what it's needed for. =) I had to hide body pieces(such as shoulders and butt) as they clip through the outfit, but this is pretty common unless the creator has the official body devkit. My issue came down to the boots. They are much longer than the legs/feet and fairly huge. They can be resized with rezzing and editing linked, but the boots just do their own thing as they are not rigged for the given body. If you'd like a fairly affordable outfit that works, go for this! However i'd perhaps see about finding boots elsewhere for now.
