OPERATION
Using the TTC with a Novatech Transporter
Rezz the TTC, place it within 10 m of a Novatech transporter pad and then optionally turn the cylinder on. The "Cargo" option on the Novatech transporter pad must be enabled. Touch your transporter pad as normal and select the destination. The TTC will be transported automatically.
Using the TTC without a Novatech Transporter
Use the "Transport" function on the TTC's menu. The TTC will provide its own beam-out & beam-in particle effects & sounds. When using the "Transport" menu function, the TTC must be turned on. After transporting you can use the "Go Back" menu item to return from where it came
MENU
The test cylinder is simple to operate. Touch the orange/black MAIN control panel to bring up the menu. The menu dialog box shows the current location of the test cylinder. From the menu you are able to select the following menu items:
On - Turns on the unit & records the cylinder's current position. A voice announces "On-line". When on, the unit makes a humming sound that slowly changes volume up & down. At the same time, the cylinder's green & red lights glow with an intensity that is synchronized to the sound
Off - Turns the unit off. A voice announces "Off-line"
Transport - When not using a Novatech transporter select "Transport" to send the cylinder anywhere in the region. Brings up a text box to enter the desired position. When you submit the position, the cylinder fades out with a particle beaming effect & sound, moves to the new position, then fades in with a beaming effect & sound
Go Back - Use "Go Back" to transport the cylinder back to the position it had just BEFORE it executed the last "Transport" operation from the menu.
Note 1: When you rezz or turn on the TTC it sets the "Go Back" position to its current position
Note 2: Does NOT send the TTC back to where is was before a Novatech transporter moves it. If you want it to do this you have 2 options. Rezz the unit on the Novatech transporter pad or turn the unit Off then back On just before transporting it
Access - Toggles between Owner only and Anyone modes (only the owner can do this). A voice announces the mode
Open - Opens the TTC for maintenance. One side panel rotates out of the way & an internal cylinder then slides down to give you an nice view of the cool looking interior of the TTC
Close - Closes TTC for normal operation
Volume - Sets the volume of all sounds from 0 (off) to 1.0 (full volume)
Help - Gives you a detailed Note Card
Show Log - Shows the test cylinder's log data. A voice announces "Logs Accessed". A typical log is shown below:
