Here Are Some Technical Details:
The 5x6 Matrix units can be used as "stage blinders" or to display matrix animations and are used facing the audience.
Each set of units deployed can be programmed to display a static pattern, or to animate a series of frames, and can be combined to provide a sequence of frames running from one unit
to the next (for displaying, for example, scrolling messages) or to provide complex composite
animations stretching across a whole set of units.
The units can be controlled directly from the Prolight console, allowing real-time changes to colour, intensity, and animation status.
The units illuminate an area up to 60m in fornt of the lamps, the distance of the throw, and intensity
of the illumination is determined by a combination of the intensity settings (set by the fader control
on the console) and the number of lamps currently lit in the unit (dependant on the pattern of lamps
currently displayed on the unit).
All of this is achieved at a cost of just 5 prims per 30-lamp unit. (plus 74 prims for the console itself)
