Tucked away in some lush Japanese tea garden amongst tall bamboo the simplicity ochaya awaits you. The ochaya, meaning tea house, was lovingly crafted with the Japanese tea ceremony in mind. When you step into the ochaya you transcend to a different world, leave all the stress, noise, and distractions of the outside world behind and enjoy life’s simple pleasures! Brake away from the world to a place of quiet, relaxing, simplicity!
The ochaya is instantly ready for your tea ceremony with the handy Rez-Faux rezer, just position and save! You never have to worry if the worst happens your ochaya can easily be rezed again! Features include lockable doors with access lists, knelt seating for 5 guests and host, wall décor, ro and cover, the ochaya fits a 512sqm or larger.
The ochaya includes a traditional genkan or entryway, where one would greet guests and remove their shoes before stepping onto the tatami mats. There is also an alcove where the host and head guest sit, and ro which is a hole in the center of the floor intended for hot coals to heat the ochaya in winter. A tatami mat cover is provided to cover the ro for summertime use. Please be aware much of the décor is mesh or sculpted!
