This an add-on for the River 400 Hop by W.A.L.T. (Ape Piaggio). NO BOAT INCLUDED
Boat can be purchased here : https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/River-400-Hop/27994515
Technical data :
- 3 object linked to the boat (easy drag and drop installer provided)
- highly detailed custom textures
- optimized mesh and scripts, 27 KB of script memory and 2 PE but won't add to the land impact of the boat
- partial PBR (changing displays are not PBR to remain coherent with the stock boat)
This add-ons pack will add the following to your WALT River 400 Hop
- Essential displays on dashboard for those who don't want hovertext or wear a hud when using the boat
- fuel gauge with low level indicator light
- throttle digital display
- light indicator
- new air horn attached to the windshield. It will hide when there is no pilot so it will not stick out of the cover.
The wearable air horn provided with the boat is really fun but if you use your boat as a daily boat, it can be annoying having to attach the horn and ever easier to forget removing it and carrying the transparent horn on your hand the rest of the day.
The new horn won't respond to the stock horn commands (click or menu) but can be triggered with the usual "horn" chat command or just touching it (even in mouselook)
- salute animation for greeting people you meet on your way
it can be triggered with "wave" chat command or by touching the dashboard
- a physics box around the motor so it won't go into docks or other objects when you are backing
The script managing these extras is listening to the current pilot for commands and the chat channel can be changed in order to use discreet gestures (sample gestures provided).
If you are not using gestures, you can stop reading here, the boat will still work as it used to with only the two new chat commands, horn and wave.
If you like to use gestures, they will make the use of the boat easier, without the need of typing commands or using the menu or HUD.
Along the two extra commands (horn and wave) directly managed by this script, it can also relay some essential commands to the boat. These commands are :
- moor
- start and stop (both have the same effect of toggling the motor on or off)
- fenders
Sample gestures provided are on channel 29000 because I'm using the same ones with Bandit/TMS boats but of course you are free to choose the channel you want as long as you set the boat to the same channel than the gestures.
Channel is set to 0 by default so the new commands will work for people not using gestures. To change the channel, type in chat : channel <number>
Remember it will not change the channel for the boat original commands but only for the ones added by this extra pack.
You can also change the keys of the gestures as you like, just make sure the new keys are not already used by other gestures you may have active (Press Ctrl+G and sort the list by key to find out)
