OVERVIEW

There's a wearable prop for just about everything these days, and even when we sit on furniture it'll sometimes offer you a book as a prop.

But what about a book prop you can wear anywhere that is self contained? I went looking for just that and didn't really find much of anything, so I decided to make my own from scratch.

Each book prop is simply a wearable book with high quality textures and the holding animation built in. So whether you are sitting down or walking, you can use this item. If you have a display library (book shelf), this pack also comes with the Shelf Prop as well for display.

While wearing this book prop, clicking it will bring up a menu option to read the book online.

Low prim (only 2) and high quality textures make this a simple, yet effective book prop you can take anywhere.

This pack comes with both the Wearable Prop and the accompanying Shelf Prop for your display library.

COMMUNITY VIRTUAL LIBRARY in SL

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book prop will go towards a donation to the Community Virtual Library in SecondLife, located at Bradley University.

The Community Virtual Library serves Second Life as an information commons HUB with catalogs of simulations and a network of communities. In addition to the main branch, CVL has a Hypergrid Resource Center with information about other virtual worlds: OpenSim, AvaCon, Kitely, Inworldz and more.

The Community Virtual Library seeks to establish and maintain a professional community presence in the Online (Internet) environment intended to foster the community and continuing development of librarians, library staff, and members of allied professions by: providing space for library organizations to meet and conduct professional development activities; working with library students to develop skills in client service, exhibits, and publishing; and offering an atmosphere where professional librarians and retired librarians can mentor and aid LIS students and new librarians.
