To see mesh, you need a mesh viewer, such as the official Second Life Viewer ⇢ http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/
If you are using a third-party viewer (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory), check its documentation to see if it supports mesh.
⒉ AVATAR SIZING
Rigged mesh can’t be adjusted on your avatar, you can’t move it, resizer it or turn it.
That’s why we made several sizes according to the Standard Sizing system:
