This high volume, high capacity greeter is a simple, polished way to provide all the information a visitor to your property may need in an unobtrusive single greeting. To customize your greeting with personalized text and provide functional buttons requires only the modification of the greeter's configuration notecard.
The greeter can be configured to offer up to 11 of your customized buttons which can:
1. Offer a single inventory item such as a notecard, landmark, or freebie
2. Offer a folder containing a list of inventory items. Care package, anyone?
3. Offer a dialog that will send the resident to a web address
4. Offer a link to open your group (easy to join open enrollment groups)
Each button is fully customizable, allowing you to choose the button label, folder name, inventory list, custom messages, etc.
The greeter can offer greetings by scanning the area for avatars within a given range, or can be fully passive and only greet when the greeter is physically clicked.
The scanner keeps a record of avatars it has recently greeted. This record can contain up to 500 unique keys, and the greeter will not re-greet anyone on this list until they are eventually pushed off the history stack. This means that if you are greeted by this greeter, you will not be greeted again until 500 (or fewer if desired) other unique avatars have been greeted.
OM fn GAWD!
I really wish Linden Labs would scrub the marketplace of this garbage. Just more wasted time on something impossible to get to work. Doesnt do what it says it does either. Waste of money.
I keep hoping second life has something decent but its starting to look like it doesnt.
