This HUD was originally created to make RP captures in English and French more easy in foreign languages. It now handle 3 languages, the sentences are fully modifiable and it offers other useful features like a CCS status warning, OOC Chatter, Grapple Hook, Campfire and Incendiary fire rezzers.
How to use it :
Attach your HUD, you will see 6 parts on it. The Varen Designs Logo (The Triskel), 3 flags with ropes, a grapple hook and a OOC button.
Captures :
Clicking on the English flag will bring up a dialog menu where you will see the names of the avatars in a range of 24 meters.
Selecting a name will offer bindings (male and female) to this avatar and the regular English search and capture text will appear in the public chat.
Clicking on the French flag will do the same, but with the chat text in French.
Clicking on the Spanish flag will do the same, but with the chat text in Spanish.
You can change the languages and the chatted text in the "~RPCapture.Config" notecard. Just right click the HUD select 'edit', go in the contents tab and open the notecard to modify it.
If you mess everything, do not worry, your HUD is copy, just take a new one from the box.
2 models of bindings are included in the HUD, you can change them by editing the .Config notecard, you can even add your own bindings in the HUD, they just have to be copy & trans.
* Important note : Before using those captures, make sure the rules of the SIM you are in allows it, some RP SIMs do not allow automated chatted text , and some RP SIMs recommend the usage of it.
Additional features :
CCS Status warning :
The Triskel is a ON/OFF switch. When set to ON (ON by default), you will have more visible messages in your chat and your chat only, telling you when you are cursed, weakened, poisoned, berserk, confused.
This can be useful in combat, the CCS HUD often not refresh fast enough to display those icons and the single CCS chat line is not easy to see when they are many others in the chat.
OOC Chatter :
By activating the "Varen OOC Chat (/ooc)" gesture, typing "/ooc Your text" (without the quotes) will make your text appear in the public chat like this : Your Name OOC : ((Your Text)).
The gesture is fully modifiable, so you can change the /ooc shortcut to what you like the best.
This feature can be Deactivated/Activated by clicking on the OOC Button from the HUD and is ON by default.
You can change your name in the notecard in case your RP name is not your SL avatar name.
Grapple Hook Rezzer :
No need to search your inventory anymore when you have to RP climbing a wall. Clicking on the tools button (The Grapple Hook) will bring you a dialog menu, select Grapple Hook to rez a grapple hook in front of you.
The Grapple Hook checks every 5 minutes if his owner is still in the SIM, if not, he will vanish by itself.
Campfire Rezzer :
Everyone needs a little campfire to RP with friends ! Clicking on the tools button (The Grapple Hook) will bring you a dialog menu, select "Campfire" to rez a little campfire and get your marshmallows ready. Do not walk in it, fire burns ! (Light CCS Damage). The campfire checks every 5 minutes if his owner is still in the SIM, if not, he will vanish by itself.
Incendiary Fire Rezzer :
You want to burn out the house of your enemy ? Clicking on the tools button (The Grapple Hook) will bring you a dialog menu, select Incendiate to rez a small fire, small, yes, but not for long, this fire will grow up to 10 meters, people can stop it by clicking on it to make it smaller and to finally get rid of it. Like for the campfire, do not forget, fire burns ! (Light CCS Damage, and more damage when the fire is stronger). You can only rez one incendiary fire every 10 meters.
(The HUD is mod, so you can personalise it, the accessories are no mod)
