The designers were restless that afternoon, and someone recorded their brainstorming meeting at a local canteen. "Can we make an upside-down clock?" "No." "What if we make a clock that doesn't tell time?" "Why?" "Can we make a clock that has the hands traveling up and down instead of round and round?" "No. Wait. Maybe." Pretty soon they were all sketching on cocktail napkins, and the Verticlock was born.
