Obviously a photo texture and it looks real
The picture on here does not do justice at all. In-world this looks real. It does come with an example prim with the texture applied, but I found it better for me to just make my own. I pushed the limits too by making min 64m long. Once the texture was adjusted to look proper (I just used the sample and put it behind mine as a guide to get the panels the right size, x&y). I even took a door that I had and removed its texture and applied this one to have an opening gate. I made a smaller prim to attach to the top of the gate and adjusted this texture so that only the arch part displayed. I had to do some matching on the gate and 2 fences that met it, but once done, it looked amazing.
NOTE: if you do this kind of thing, remember that you'll have to "select face" on each side and adjust the texture to line up properly. Otherwise, if you adjust the texture on the entire prim, the other side will not be the same. It's easy though and the results are excellent.
You can also adjust light for reflection as well as add some color should you want a darker-colored fence to match something else. Sadly, I could find no way to make it white. I guess the texture would have to be processed to make it negative, which would make it white.
