The orangery was the forerunner of the modern conservatory and greenhouse, and was used mainly in Britain, Holland and Germany from the 17th Century onwards to house the exotic fruits and other plants brought back from the tropical and semi-tropical colonies. Orangeries were popular even up to Edwardian times in the early 20thC, although very few of them now remain.
They make a perfect setting for lazing away a summer afternoon, or holding a 'tea dance.' And of course, they make a beautiful hot house!

This orangery comes in 2 parts: the main building and doors (56 prims) plus an optional dance lighting and effects system and dance ball (9 prims). The building's footprint is 20x15m. It is rezzed using the Rez Faux system supplied in the box.

The lighting and dance system is also rezzed with the building, and you can choose whether to keep the indiviadual items or not. It consists of:

* A dance ball: This contains a few solo dances, but you could replace them with your own, or replace it with your own dance ball.
* 2 wall switches for lighting and effects. The lighting is a gradual and continuous random effect with subtle colours slowly changing. In your SL Preferences you need to have 'Nearby Local Lights' selected under the 'Graphics Detail' tab.
* An effects unit: this is a pile of 6 invisible, phantom objects in the middle of the dance floor (right where the rez box is initially). Again, remove them if you don't want them.

The effects appear randomly and periodically and features include:

Fog (in random colors)
Snowflakes (in random colors)
Central fire
Peripheral circle of flames
Sparkles
Bubbles
