This hunt was a June 2018 Hunt. Being I teach Video Game Development, I had to sign up. What you may be surprised about though...I am not a gamer...Not your typical kind.
For myself, I figured, if you are in Second Life, you are already halfway to that "Videogame" (Organizer's spelling) part. Now to take the leap into a larger game, why not create a basic board game.
Yes. A simple, continual board game, with dice, to play in a virtual environment.
If the avatar is going to walk each count, you are ready to go.
My avatar is a bit lazy and would rather double click to move to the designated square. If you would like to try this, just make the option available in the Preferences.
Me > Preferences > Move & View > Double Click on Land (Teleport to clicked point).
Rules are (and can be changed!)...
Start and stop on the Yellow Star.
Role Dice.
Move number of spaces.
To reach the Star to win, you must roll the correct count.
For instance, if the star is two spaces away, you will need to roll a two.
That's it!
Create, or add rules to your desire.
Ideas....
Multiple avatars play at once; moving in opposite directions. If you land on another players space, you must ___________.
After three roles of Die, and the Star is still out of reach, player moves back the count on next roll.
Have one player move to the right to start, and the other move to the left to start.
Landing on a certain color, player must ____________.
This could get dangerous ;-D
Have players solve problems to be able to roll Die.
For instance, if used in education...
Solve equation
Solve literature question
Solve map location
ETC
You get the jest....
Use it!
Included, of course, is a funky, game hat. One that continually moves with textures, as well as glows brighter, and lighter.
The whole package is just plain fun.
