Viking Longship-
UPDATE!. If you encounter animation errors while crossing sim borders, please get redelivery to fix this problem. The new build has a new and more original dragon head
Unique replica of the Gokstad Ship
Mesh Hull, Sails, Shields, and details.
This longship boat is scripted to provide the best sailing experience on SecondLife waters. A newly developed script implements full natural sailing physics.
The boat is steered from the keyboard, assisted by a HUD controller. You have control of the motor, sails, and wind and get a set of advanced instruments to help you navigate.
The ship moves realistic and has turning sails, sounds, and splashing waves. Row animations and oars included. Sails can be lowered. The owner is the only person who can control the ship.
The Gokstad Viking Ship type 012 is a combined build of prims sculps and mesh.
The ship is contained in the HUDs delivered to you on purchase. You have to attach the HUD order to rez the ship. The HUD then connects to the ship and functions as a sail/motor controller.
The HUD comes in 2 versions:
a) NS Boat Type 012 Compass HUD
b) NS Boat Type 012 Compass HUD (Attach)
All versions contain fully sailable Viking longships with room to seat
The pilot (SIT BY CLICK THE RUDDER)
Ten rowers (sits on the green seats)
Seven passengers (sit on the brown seats)
Alle row and passenger seats are animated!
a) The full version of the Gokstad Ship has a land impact equal to 168 prims. This ship crosses sim borders far better than the other versions but requires that there is enough free prims to support the vessel where you sail. Therefore, the boat has physical boundaries and can be walked on when not sailing. If you can't walk on the deck but walk in the air, sit on a passenger or rower seat while the ship is parked (not sailing), and physical bounds are reset.
b) The attached version has a land impact of 168 prims when not attached. When rezzed, the main ship and seats are formed, followed by the attachment. You can move the attachment around, and the main ship will follow. When the pilot sits, a request to attach to the pilot is given. If this is acknowledged, the attachment connects, lowering the total prim cost to 50 prims. When sailing in waters with a large amount of free prims this is advisable to use this version. This version has no physical boundaries
A display model of this ship can be found in Second Life at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lexicolo/196/47/2999
