From Wikipedia,
"A fallout shelter is an enclosed space specially designed to protect occupants from radioactive debris or fallout resulting from a nuclear explosion. Many such shelters were constructed as civil defense measures during the Cold War. After a nuclear explosion, matter vaporized in the resulting fireball is exposed to neutrons from the explosion, absorbs them, and becomes radioactive. When this material condenses in the cloud, it forms dust and light sandy material that resembles ground pumice. The fallout emits both beta particles and gamma rays. Much of this highly radioactive material then falls to earth, subjecting anything within the line of sight to radiation, a significant hazard. A fallout shelter is designed to allow its occupants to minimize exposure to harmful fallout until radioactivity has decayed to a safer level.
The -Virtual Decay- Fallout shelter is a very realistic replica of what could have been a cold war era American Civil Defense Bomb / Fallout shelter. The American government decided that all over the country shelters had to be ready for when "the bomb" was dropped. In all kinds of structures, basements were converted to shelters by adding special doors and stockpiling survival supplies.
The Fallout shelter is intended to be used underground! So make sure you have terra forming capabilities for the land where you would like the shelter to be placed. In case you would like to use it as an extension for a skybox, you won't have any problems.
In the box you will find 3 versions of the shelter.
The first one is the DEMO, which has been pre-filled with lots of decorations to give you an idea of what could be possible.
The second and third are basically the same, with the one main difference that one has a separate building that functions as an entrance (linked to the shelter) and the 3rd has a hatch which can be made to fit under your own building.
This build itself is extremely low prim (31), but it comes with so many high detailed objects, all custom textured, all copyable, that you could easy max out your land's prim count by adding more and more boxes, can's or barrels.
Included are : A full set of Civil Defense Shelter Supplies, consisting of Medical, Survival, Radiation detection and Sanitation supplies. Some Vintage C rations , both in unopened and opened box variety. a selection of vintage boxes, Canned apples, soap, butter, deodorant and more. Sculpted shelves, sculpted pillows, a table, an old stove, two types of sculpted candles with click on/off flames with "light effect" and particle smoke,
an air conditioner, with click on/off for sounds and animated fan blades. A survival manual, some wall decorations, cobwebs... anything to make sure that this is the most detailed underground shelter available in second life at this moment.
If you would like to have a look at the demo shelter, please feel free to take a look in our showroom where you will have the possibility to rezz all of the -Virtual Decay- prefabs and can fully experience them.
If you are interested in some decorative parts that are included in this prefab, but not in the prefab itself, in my mainstore I have some parts boxed up as individual items. Go check it out, many more similar items available.

Pros: I moved into these sims called The wastelands, most of the sim looked like what youed expect, a waste land. this building was well textured and well built. more imporantly it had extra items which made the building more of a fallout shelter which for me was a huge plus.
Cons: the door needs a better script, at least one thats easyer to lock and unlock.
Other thoughts: in those wastelands, this building became my best friend when i had to hide out from hunters. REALY great for RP'ing.
Pretty nice for my themed skyboxes, i like the idea and the fact it came one already built and other for you to decorate (and save prims). I like it.
This is one incredible buy! The texture work is amazing (as are all of her items). The little boxes of foodstuffs and other miscellaneous items really add to the overall look and feel of the shelter and allow you to make your own personal hideout/home. If you are looking for a small and simple structure to use as a basic home for a 512 or want a fallout shelter to reminisce about the Cold War era, this is it! I personally will be using it as my home on a 512 plot.
