Visitor Scanner

Visitor Scanner is a utility which scans the area around your property for visitors. Whether it's security that you want or just information, you will find this device meets your needs. Fully customisable in range (0-96m) and frequency, VS can be used in the supplied 1-prim Rx/Tx unit or in your own objects. To avoid giving you TMI, an 'Ignore' list allows you to specify friends & neighbours.

In default mode VS will simply report all new visitors, but in commentary mode it can report visitors on first arrival in scanner range, thereafter if they come nearer to the scanner, and finally on departure from range. If you own the parcel on which the scanner is placed, you will also get a report if a visitor is over your land, and at what altitude. Reports are made in IM to the owner (and sent to email if enabled in your viewer Preferences). In addition, a bell may be sounded (if enabled), which can be useful if you are working out of SL. A direct email option allows you to by-pass IM, and use an address other than your SL-registered email.

While an agent is in range of the scanner a CSV data string is emitted region-wide on the chosen user-channel (default 9). The latter enables the owner to interface VS to other scripts designed to act on the result of the scan, e.g.: If agent detected = X Y, and detected distance <20m, give warning in IM.

VS keeps a log of all new visitors up to a maximum of 100, which is updated with re-visit dates.
