The Two Versions:
This set comes with two versions, the full version & the lower prim version.The full version has all items linked, but is set to mod so you can add or remove items.
With the lower prim version the main items are also linked and extra items are in the box, so you can pick and choose how to decorate.
We wanted to make sure this set could be used by anyone, even people that have to watch their prims, so we have tried to keep it as low prim as possible and items that are higher prim are in the box so you can set out items you want to use. All items listed are included with both sets.
If you were to buy all of the pieces for this set separately it would cost a great deal, but we are offering everything for a low price. When we put this set together, we made sure to find high quality items, so we could build them and put them together in order to make the best set possible for our customers. Could have been a perfect Halloween item, but caveat emptor!
The item is not as advertised, and some of the discrepancies affect its usability.
1) the description promises "unlimited quantities" of stirring sticks, witch hats, and posing stands for all who click on a giver box. Well, no. EVERYTHING in this build is "no copy." I would think this a remediable one-time mistake, but in looking over the store's offerings, I see that someone else told the builder about giver/no copy problems two years ago.
2) although the description says there are 3 animations, including a "sit" for the chair, the chair has no animation. The result is that SL sits the AV on the closest pose ball, which is disconcerting.
3) although the description says everything is linked in the full version, it is a coalesced build, which falls apart when moved. There are a lot of little parts in it, so clean up becomes tiresome.
4) The build also has some internal discrepancies. Apparently, the pose ball next to the cauldron calls for a prop. Thus, sitting on that pose ball places the nearest available prop item in the hand (in my setup, a planchette for a nearby ouija board!). Even were the perms on the stir stick set correctly, then, the sticks would be in the wrong place (the giver box, not the poseball).
5) Etc.
Some of the problems can be repaired. I can put a sitting animation in the chair. I haven't yet tried fixing the cauldron. Because the script is no mod and the animation no copy, this will be a little more work, but I can make some kind of stick to be rezzed.
I sent the builder a notecard several days ago, but have had no reply. (Neither did the purchase who complained about the no copy broom.)
I'm irritated because the builder's inattentiveness (to both perms and customers) turned a beautifully detailed scene into a messy reconstruction job.
I see that the builder's most recently posted offering was reviewed in 2015. I wish the marketplace would warn buyers that shops are no longer active.
