Starship troopers have perhaps one of the most perilous professions in the galaxy. The risks involved in transportation cause more fatalities of highly trained personnel than even the extended campaign on the ground. The fact is getting to the planetary surface can rob you of your elite troopers.
The solution.... The War Hawk. Swoop in, drop up a full marine troop and bug out in seconds. Take the fatality out of flak and leave trooper survival dependent on their training, not their luck.

Cannon
One 38.4 TerraWatt Capital Class Particle Acceleration Cannon. Normally found on space station turrets or on capital ships, this system has been designed into the structure of the assault craft as an integral spindle mount. Capable of blowing holes through shields, bunkers, large ships, planetoids, it easily places the war hawk in the category if Assault craft. Touch the top thrust pod to fire.
Note that this will cause 100% meson Damage to any Avatar in a damage enabled sim (being hit with a ship mounted weapon tends to promote a quick sense of vaporization). This weapon is not stopped by prims, walls, forcefields, sim boarders or ban lines (however the damage effect will only be active in the sim it is fired in.
Fully sculpted and Animated Landing gear...
Touch the main body of the craft to retract and go into flight mode. Particle engines will still smolder but the glow of the engines will diminish in a marked manner.
Troop Transport Capacity:
Can Hold 1 Pilot and 8 troopers. (total of 9 avatars)
Flight Controls:
Pilot must sit on craft first before the passengers. (right click and sit)
Sit on craft say "START" in open chat and then use WASD and page up and page down to move.
Say "STOP" and the craft will power down.
Note that the Landing gear is not effected by the flight system so you can pop it out and come in for a realistic landing. Also if the craft is not directed to move in a particular direction it will slowly descend making landings very easy with this craft.
Flight Particles are sensitive to the start and stop command... so if the particles do not disengage for any reason, just say stop again and that should do the trick.
Engine Sounds: Has a warm up sequence, a cool down and a running sound while the ship is flying. Also entering and exiting the craft also have sealed hatch open / close sounds.
