Wearing the sign animates your avatar to convincing pose. Tested, message goes through ;D
Sign is also mody, so you can just drag and drop your own texture in the sign's content, and it will be added to the changeable textures.
How to do this?
1. wear or rezz the sign
2. right click the sign and select edit
3. go to content tab
4. drag and drop a texture from you inventory to the content
5. close edit menu
6. click the front of the sign until your texture comes up!
