Garden Shores presents our Wedding Unity Candle and matching elegant orchid vase. Beautifully crafted in elegant crystal and milk glass, with symbolic love swans and finely detailed flowers, this ceremonial two-piece set can be kept out as a reminder of your vows for years to come.

While the origin of Unity Candles is uncertain, it has become an integral part of modern wedding ceremonies. Comprised of two tapered candles and a central double-wick pillar candle, it symbolizes the union of the bride and groom as a family. A representative from the bride’s side (a parent, sibling or close friend) lights the taper nearest the bride while a representative from the groom’s side lights the one nearest the groom. The bride and groom then each light a wick of the central pillar to illuminate their unity.

Each of the tapers of our unity candle has a clickable on / off flame. The central pillar candle has two separate, clickable, on / off flames so that the set can be used as part of your wedding ceremony or on anniversaries to renew your vows.

Garden Shore’s Wedding Unity Candle Sets are currently available in three colors; each sold separately. Each color has a distinctive meaning:

Blue

Blue is the color of trust, honesty, sincerity and loyalty. The color of ocean and sky, blue is perceived as a constant in our lives that is often associated with depth and stability. The color blue symbolizes one-to-one communication. Blue is the symbol of fidelity, and it is not an accident that in Western tradition, brides are adorned with “something blue.”

Gold

Gold is the color of success, achievement and triumph. Associated with prosperity, luxury, quality, and prestige, use of this color denotes sophisticated elegance. It adds richness and warmth with a touch of stylish illumination. The color gold is almost universally associated with the sun and its rays.

Green

Green is a wonderful calming, fertile and nurturing color. Its prevalence in nature makes it very attractive. Balance and a sense of order are found in the color green as it is the color of the element of the Earth. Use of the color is believed to draw forth good luck and abundance. The color green is linked with the Heart Chakra which concerns higher consciousness and love.
