A Collection of Wedgwood Ceramic Vases and urns

Created in the mid-18th century in Staffordshire, England, Wedgwood pieces are distinguished by their direct inspiration from antiquity, replicating mythological scenes with muses and gods rendered in a subtle matte bichromy.
From 1770 onwards, Wedgwood porcelain captivated luxury merchants across Europe—especially the marchands-merciers in Paris, who supplied their clientele with these refined “antique-style” objects, very much in fashion at the time. Their popularity grew to the point that they began to replace earlier furniture adorned with Sèvres porcelain plaques. In response, Sèvres, seeing its market threatened, launched a series of Wedgwood-style reliefs in an effort to compete and remain relevant.

This set is composed of four different pieces:

* A large “Medici-style” vase with handles and two distinct sides.
* An amphora-style vase with two sides (reliefs on the front, medallion on the reverse).
* A lidded urn decorated with reliefs and cameos.
* An urn in the form of an oil lamp, with a female figure.

The collection is available in different colors.
Each vase is 1 LI.

** Discounted price available in-world for the purchase of all of the colors** (28% discount)
