Who's on your sim? If you manage events, have a busy sim with a lot of shops, or own a popular recreation area, you know it can be a nuisance to keep track of who's around. Even if you are all by yourself in a skybox, it can be comforting -- but not always easy -- to know who else is on the sim.

Most sim-wide radars use a network of long-range scanners. Many are limited to scan only to a few hundred meters above the ground. Many miss a lot of people, because standard scanners can only detect up to 16 people at a time.

NOT THIS ONE! Who's There can see up to 100 people on your sim, up to an height of 4096m, and it uses no standard scanners at all, so it is extremely low lag. It has no moving parts, and does not send temp-rez drones to look for avatars. It just sits there, looking.

Yes, I know some viewers have built-in radars that give you the same information, but that's just one more thing to have open on your screen. Besides, sometimes it's more convenient to have a display in world where anyone can see it.

Who's There maintains a vertical marquee-style scrolling display in floating text, showing you the name of each person and telling you how far they are from the sensing system. On touch, you can choose whether to show Display Names or User Names. The tool's database updates every 20 seconds, so you can watch to see who has come or left recently. Its polished porcelain base and mesmerizing blue gazing ball make it an attractive sculpture too.
