Wingsong Bicycle Tandem RIDE V3

This is a RIDE/REZ bicycle; it requires land and it supports a passenger.

NOTE: We make a wearable/ADD version of this style bike as well, available separately at our Wingsong Marketplace store.

This bike is specifically designed for high manageability. It is a touring bike, NOT a racing vehicle (although it does have a turbo mode). It was designed from the ground up as a high performance, easy to handle bike.

I LOVE tandem bikes. I rode one once in real life. Sort of. My partner and I nearly killed one another.

I've ridden every inworld tandem bike I can find. What I discovered was that while several of them look very nice, they don't generally ride very realistically. No banking. Stiff animations. Way too expensive for my cheap blood.

So, after several years of making wearable and rez based bicycles, I decided to give the ol' tandem bike a run. The result is the Wingsong Bicycle Tandem RIDE V3, a very realistic looking bike AND a very realistic ride.

NOTE: A great many inworld vehicles are revved up so high by default as to make them difficult if not impossible to drive. This annoys me to no end. Our vehicles are generally set with 6 gears at very manageable speeds. Just like in real life, speed is related to manageability. Too much speed will increase your chances to get whipped by lag and to run into buildings or off high cliffs.

This vehicle uses ACS scripts, noted for being the standard of REZ vehicles. Most vehicles utilizing these scripts cost hundreds or thousands of dollars; the scripts are pretty pricey and most builders will pass this expense on to you. We at the Wingsong Dojo do NOT. Why? Because we sell alot of these vehicles and recouped our initial investment very quickly.

FEATURES and HOW TO USE:

1 - REZ your bicycle to the ground in an area where you have land permissions.

2 - This bike is VERY easy to operate: After rezzing the vehicle, RIGHT CLICK on the bike (anywhere except the seat) it and select RIDE. To begin driving CLICK on the bike and select START ENGINE. Move using arrow keys for forward and turns. Shift up for greater speeds by clicking SHIFT key + right arrow key; shift down by clicking SHIFT + left arrow key. Reverse by pressing the Down Arrow.

Passengers click on the back seat and select RIDE from the menu. Once they are sitting, they can click on the seat again for a menu allowing them to position themselves for a comfortable fit.

3 - Touch the bike for an onboard menu of functions. Most of these are self explanatory. Some of the features are:
- transmission (manual or automatic)
- custom controls for setting your vehicle to your own preferences for driving style (steering, gears and throttle speed, banking, camera view, etc)
- onboard avatar adjustment
- locking and unlocking to allow others to drive your bike
- resizer
- horn
- flight mode
- turbo mode (This bike is preset with relatively low speeds but with a click of a button you are automatically in RACING mode.)
- HUD distributed through menu (includes many items from the menu as well as a speedometer; VERY easy to use)
- Driver's Manual HELP distributed through menu
- alarm system (sounds when anyone else attempts to ride locked bike; the alarm can be manually turned off by owner and it will turn off automatically after about 30 seconds)
- on board graphics - In the GRAPHICS menu select COLOR to recolor your frame. Select SHINE to adjust the shine on your frame. You can also change textures of your frame and seat by selecting PAINT from the menu and scrolling through the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons (including an alpha texture that makes your fenders disappear).

4 - The bike is embedded with high quality original Wingsong animations.

5 - Your wheels and your bike chain rotate when you move.

6 - Your bike is COPY/MOD, so make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! Note that in your inventory it will appear to be NO MODIFY because of the proprietary scripts but when you REZ it out you'll see that you CAN modify it.
