I used to think Dwarfins were just one of the best breedables on the grid. And they ARE fun breedables. But there is also a line of Dwarfin avatars, and if you aren't familiar with them yet, I encourage you to look into them. They are a HOOT, they are inexpensive, and they are extraordinary.

Given their small stature, of course, there's not as many toys and doodads that fit them, so here at the Wingsong Dojo sometimes we all show up to our staff meetings as Dwarfins and design Dwarfin accessories.

It doesn't take long to hang out with Dwarfins before you realize that they love flute music. We at the dojo also love flute music, and in RL I make Native American style flutes. And we've made several other flutes for human avatars inworld. So OBVIOUSLY we had to make some flutes for the Dwarfin folk.

You get THREE flutes in this package:

A - The Wingsong Dwarfin Flute F Sharp Autoplay is designed to play songs randomly. You will not hear the same song played over and over; instead, you'll hear a series of notes and short clips played together randomly. Because it is pentatonic the notes blend beautifully with one another. It includes a dual animation system featuring authentic Wingsong animations.

B - The Wingsong Dwarfin Flute AO No Audio has the same animation system as the Autoplay version but it does not have audio. This flute is great if you want to stream in your own music or even add your own audio system to the flute. I've used this system for playing my real flutes in real time using the VOICE feature of SL software. You can also use this flute when you play your Wingsong Flute F Sharp HUD - Performer's Edition (more about that in a minute).

C - The Wingsong Dwarfin Flute Shell is a non scripted flute that you can either wear on your back in your travels (ADD from your inventory), or REZ out as a prop or decoration. At only 2 prims, it makes a nice conversation piece in any Dwarfin home.

You ALSO get our Wingsong Flute F Sharp HUD - Performer's Edition. This can be used independent of the flutes or with the Wingsong Dwarfin Flute AO No Audio and will provide hours of fun and creativity for the musician in you. It includes two sets of the same Pentatonic scale in F Sharp and 10 different short flute riffs. Why two of each note? This makes your music much smoother if you play two notes back to back.

FEATURES and HOW TO USE The Wingsong Dwarfin Flute F Sharp Autoplay

1 - Turn off other Animation Overrides you may be wearing. Put on your Dwarfin Avatar (not available in this package!). ADD your Wingsong Dwarfin Dwarfin F Sharp Autoplay from your inventory.

2 - The primary AO embedded in the flute automatically kicks in. You will be animated playing your flute when you stand or sit down (either on the ground or on items such as bridges). When you walk, run, fly, etc you will hold your flute but you will not be animated playing the flute. Your audio, however, will play regardless what your animation is.

3 - There are times when you want to deviate from the standard animations. Click on your flute to call up a menu with two animations: stand without being animated playing your flute and sit playing the flute (this one is good when you want to sit on a road, path or other manmade surface such as a sculpted ground cover). When you want to return to your flute's primary AO system click your flute and select PLAY from the menu. NOTE: Your Wingsong Dwarfin Flute AO No Audio has this same system but you must touch the leather band near the end of your flute instead of the flute's body to activate the adjunct animations.

4 - The music is soothing, nonmonotonous, and altogether pleasant. I recorded the sound files used in these flutes in RL using a Native American style flute I built myself.

Because this flute system is pentatonic is sounds good with other flutes in the same key without requiring complex synchronization. For example, you can wear your autoplay version and play along using your HUD. Or you and your friends can jam together, provided you all have your own copies of this package. Heck, I've been known to jam with customers myself, so don't be shy about inviting me over to play!
