Think Sheep Soccer!
We've been working on a sheep for about a year. Didn't want to use the standard sheep sculpties, though we are quite fond of them. We just prefer to make our own sculpties, and we couldn't quite get what we were looking for. Until now. Meet the Wingsong Sheep Herd!
That's right - HERD. And boy, are these sheep unique! From the ewes' blue faces to their randomly colored ears, are they unique! The ram is about twice as big, has horns, a black face and is obviously different than his girl counterparts.
Here's how The Wingsong Sheep Herd package works. Bellwethers are rams who are leaders of their herds, and they generally wear bells. Our does. You get two rams: a REZ version that you set out and a WEAR version that you add to yourself for traveling together.
Anytime you touch your ram's wooly body, he'll rez out a new blue faced sheep with different colored ears. The sheep will run from anyone who comes near, and after about ten minutes they'll fade into the sunset and go to that happy sheep pasture in the sky.
What is GREAT fun is to rez a mess of sheep out in the field or woods and then see if you can get them all in a corral before they start disappearing into thin air! So you and your friends can become bona fide SHEEP WRANGLERS!
Your Wingsong Sheep Bellwether ram will randomly baa one of three sheep sounds, a surprise "BAA" sound, and his bell intermittently every 3 to 4 minutes. Touch his legs to toggle this on and off. You can also make your ram bleat on command by touching either of his horns. The little girl sheep are very quiet.
All the sheep and the ram's eyes blink/wink.
So - good fun, and free wool to boot!
I'm lying about the wool.
These sheep are great for events - you can set up a sheep corral (included), bring out your ram and rez out a mess of sheep, and have a tournament or a free for all to see who gets the most sheep in the pen. Better than bull riding, and alot safer. You and your guests will be in STITCHES watching one another herd a bunch of obstinate sheep!
BONUSES
To help you in your quest to get them little lambs put into a pen, we're including 2 special FREE Bonuses:
1 - Wingsong Horse V2: He's adorable, he's whimsical, and he knows a thing or two about sheep wrangling. ADD him from your inventory and move using regular move arrows. He neighs 5 different sounds from time to time, which can be toggled on and off by touching his right hip. He also neighs on command when you touch either of his ears. His eyes wink/blink, and he has flexi legs, mane, and tail. He is embedded with an excellent onboard animation system featuring original Wingsong animations. You can hear his hooves beat when he walks and gallops. Be sure to turn off other Animation Overrides when riding your horse!
NOTE: This little horse does not attempt to compete with the more realistic horses on the grid. I include him here for your enjoyment if you like but obviously you can choose to ride a different horse. Or, conversely, you might enjoy wrangling sheep on one of the many wearable critters we make here at the dojo!
2 - Wingsong Sheep Corral: Just a simple corral with an opening for you and your sheep to play with.
3 - Wingsong Microcosm: Pasture: Part of our large collection of holodecks and the similar but smaller microcosms, we have preconfigured this one especially for your sheep. At only 3 prims, the default footprint is set at just over 30 meters but you can expand the size up to 64 meters; I recommend using the EDIT LINKED feature and resizing each link separately.
Touch the side of globe to access a menu with 6 sky textures with a slow animation that eases out of one vortex and into another.
Touch the floor of the globe to access a menu with 6 ground textures.
Some of the textures are seamless, some are not. You can easily add your own textures by dragging them from your inventory into the specified prim's Content Tab using the Edit Link feature of your Edit tool.
To keep folks from falling out of their world, I have not checked the PHANTOM feature in the Edit tool. I found that placing my Wingsong Holodecks in space with teleporters (not included in this package) was more convenient.
I love wrangling sheep, so I usually have this setup at the dojo. Take the taxi from our Wingsong Dojo landing site on the front deck to the Pasture - there's a FREE horse available for you there. Touch the ram and see what happens!
AND - everything is this package is COPY/MOD, so make all the copies you want and recolor, redecorate, resize, retexture, reDO to make it fit YOUR specs! I'm even throwing in a FREE Wingsong Modify Box, a simple, easy to use tutorial for folks with little experience in the EDIT tool.
For questions or a live demonstration of this or any of our fine/fun Wingsong products, IM Kit Ciaco!
See item in Second Lifecute sheep and fun to play
also love how it has sky pasture box and coral for playing on ground it is a fun game
Super fun!
I adore this item, I think it may be one of my favorite things to play with in SL. Its really hilarious how the sheep pop out of the ram upside down or any which way, and right themselves when you come near. We've been having a ton of fun with the pen and everything. I also appreciate the fact the sheep stick around for a fair amount of time. Just a lot of fun for barely any Ls.
