Here's a neat Builder's Kit for a plant pot with a bottom liner. There are 2 versions, with different LODs. The pots have 6 texturable faces and the bottoms have 5 texturable faces. You should be able to get just about any texture to work with these. The faces are all set to 1.0 H and 1.0 V scales so you can adjust as needed. You don't need a "baked" texture or a UV map.
The kit includes a simple 4 face mesh plant template, and an insert for mulch or whatever.

NOTE: If you change the size of the pots you will need to adjust the other parts to fit. As with all mesh LI may increase with size, but we stretched the low LOD example extremely large and didn't see an increase in LI.
