Looking for a unique Old West or Cowboy look? What about a Miner 49-er? Alaska Gold rush? Edwardian fireman? Look no further! This wool flannel overshirt or "fireman's shirt" is phototextured from one I made for my husband several years ago. Blue is it's actual color...but it's also available in black, blue, green, brown, red, and white!
These shirts were worn as overgarments, like a light jacket, throughout the 19th century and into the early 20th century. In the 19th c they were often worn un-tucked and belted. Add a pistol belt over the system belt for a more rakish look!
This set includes both belted and un-belted versions, on the shirt and jacket layers. Try to leave it as baggy or loose as you can, for an authentic look. Remember: it's an overgarment. Wear the un-belted version really loose on the shirt layer with the "tails" on/out, for an "I haven't finished dressing yet!" look.
Add a neckerchief for a nice detail.
Note: For wearing with low-rise trousers or skirts, be sure to wear the "glitchtails" on the underwear layer to fill in the midriff gap!
