Very Good
I love it
Not bad
Not bad and capable of one shot kills on drones. On the down side the HUD does not always reflect the correct stance and often when the rifle is drawn it will leave part of it around the back or sides of the user. Sometimes when the rifle is drawn it will show a huge flash on the end like it fired and lock up often requiring it to be slung than drawn before it can be used. The prim count is 160.
Nice Weapon
Very nice detailed weapon. The only reason i did not give it five stars is the lack of customization.
Definitely a favorite. 5/5.
I used to buy a lot of sniper weapons in Second Life, but none have ever had this level of sophistication. Let me start by describing the build. Out of the box, the rifle looks and feels rock solid - the model's textures have shadows baked on to them, which is something I've never seen another weapon developer do. While customization is limited to changing the ORS's LCD display backlight color, I don't feel like I'd need any more, given the rifle's functionality. This weapon provides the ultimate sniper experience to anyone who loves realism in SL. With simulated bullet drop due to gravity and deflection due to wind, every shot feels different.
I field tested it by going prone in the grass at the east end of the TOC weapon range. There was a bull's eye target precisely two hundred meters away from the firing line, and I adjusted my scope HUD accordingly (The ORS inset on the scope HUD changed to show my selected ammo type and set range). I zoomed in until my FOV was twenty degrees, chose the FOV 20 mode on the scope, and placed my crosshairs squarely in the bull's eye. I fired, the rifle roared, and dust obscured my view for an instant. It dissipated in time for me to see the 25mm shell plunge directly into the centre of the target, which then disappeared in a ball of fire and smoke. Since then, I've made many more shots at different elevations and ranges, once managing to hit an unwary avatar from 500m away - almost across two sims. The player was not as amused as I was, and killed me with an airstrike. I regret nothing.
If you want hours of fun and amazing quality for a low price, the XM109 is the rifle for you.
