The Loft House is a very simple house to use, it comes in a REZ box.
Throw it on the ground and click on rez to release it, you move it to the desired place and click FINISH. After this process it becomes modifiable.
To change the color of the walls simply activate the "Edit linked" option, select the desired wall and change the color.
