Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival in China, is the most important traditional holiday in China.

Chinese New Year 2024 will fall on Sunday, February 10th, 2024, starting a year of the Dragon.

Celebrations of Chinese New Year traditionally last for 16 days, starting from Chinese New Year's Eve to the Lantern Festival. In 2024, that is from February 9th to February 24th. The spring festival begins with family gatherings on New Years Eve. The Spring Festival (the Chinese New Year holiday) ends with is the Lantern Festival when the beautiful lanterns are displayed and sweet rice dumpling soup is eaten.
