This item WILL WORK with GCS, but only at GCS sims which allow the use of 3rd-party weapons. This item is not officially supported or endorsed by GCS. It will not work with the GCS HUD.

OVERVIEW:

When the situation is unknown, it's good to be versatile. That's why we've put together the M79 Grenade Launcher, offering up seven different kinds of specialty payloads for whatever the situation may call for.

BACK STORY:

"After the fire wiped out the cargo truck, we started running dangerously low on supplies. Weapons were coming up short. We barely had enough rifles for everyone to have their own, and forget support weapons. All we had was one grenade launcher... but as it turned out, that was more than enough. What a lifesaver. After a few hits of smokes and flashbangs, they didn't even realize we'd started shelling them with high-explosive rounds too, until they were nothing but bits."

CONTROLS

Weapon uses standard mouselook controls with arrow keys. The launcher is a single-shot tube. After firing, click again to reload, or use the reload gesture. You'll also need to reload in order to swap ammo types.

AMMUNITION

Explosive - High-explosive anti-personnel fragmentation grenades. 10-meter kill radius, detonates instantly on impact. Must travel approximately 25 meters before arming. Velocity: 50.

Airburst - Auto-detonating cluster explosive. When fired into the air, it splits into four grenades that crash back down to the ground, potentially granting a large blast radius at the cost of long range. Each child grenade has a 10-meter kill radius. Velocity: 50.

Flashbang - Creates a bright flash upon detonation that blinds anyone within 10 meters. Has a 3-second fuse, activated on impact. Blindness lasts for ten seconds. Velocity: 20.

Signal - Creates a harmless smoke signal that can be seen from very far away. Smoke is neon green. Has a 3-second fuse, activated on impact. Smoke lasts for 60 seconds. Velocity: 20.

Flare - Launches a bright red flare that, if aimed skywards, hangs in the air for about 15 seconds and can be seen from very far away. Upon hitting something, the flare releases a bright red smoke signal. Smoke lasts for 60 seconds. Hitting someone directly with the flare will kill them, as the flare burns very hot. It's also a really hilarious way to take out an unsuspecting enemy. Velocity: 15.

Smoke - Creates a harmless smoke screen that can hide your position or obscure the view of your opponents. Has a 3-second fuse, activated on impact. Smoke lasts for 10 seconds. Velocity: 20.

Bullet Bill - Launches a very slow-moving and hilariously large explosive projectile that detonates on impact. 10-meter kill radius. Actually hitting someone with it is quite a feat, and should be celebrated with hearty laughter. Velocity: 5.

Don't buy. Its great to look at but as the review stated before, It doesn't work. Trigger Animations are broken and it won't unpack properly. Gun is useless.

Missing stalk, missing trigger animation.

I don't know what went wrong with this thing, maybe its packed wrong or somehow scrambled but it's stalk is invisible, in fact the whole gun, both holster and unholstered are invisible until I say "touch" from inventory then a small menu comes up but nothing in that menu does anything to make the stalk visible, only the barrel. In addition I get a error message saying the "trigger" animation is missing every time I change ammo types from the menu. It does seem to have animations and such in the weapon contents but there's no instructions if it requires further unpacking or activation. Perfect style though, and the barrel has great textures. :( Wish it wasn't a ghost gun.

I've bought alot of weapons in time in SL. Ironsights, Breach, etc, and it's very rare to find a weapon that's purely enjoyable to use. I personally love the reload animation most of all for this little booper tube. The model itself is beautifully made, and the ammo/skin options will fit most of the situations you'd get into with it.
