i. Introduction
We researched tons of vehicles. We found that the SL physics engine still left much to be desired. So what's the answer? The ZJ-A1.
The ZJ-A1 is a fast moving helicopter that ATTACHES like a weapon or other prim attachment. Fly all over with it. INCLUDED is the HewHud Standard edition for flight assist WAY above the ground - tested to 5k, got bored of holding the up button. Hehe.
ii. Special directions and information
This Attachment contains some nasty weaponry. The Bullets in the minigun have push scripts in them, as do the rockets. Although the cagers are temp on rez, they too can be used to grief. ELECTRIC OP LTD AND ITS OFFICERS AND AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY ACTIONS WITH ANY OF OUR PRODUCTS AT ANY TIME.
iii. Intended use
The ZJ-A1 is truly versatile. It has superior detection features, like sim border alerts, and weaponry designed to intimidate (they are not "damage" weapons, they use big push scripts). You can't crash sims or clients with it or anything serious, but it might come in handy for an island owner or sim owner. Contact Hewitt for further security solutions, inlcuding the new Security Edition of the HewHud, Featuring Avaject(tm) technology!
1. Flight
a. Startup
Simply choose the helicopter in your inventory and "Wear". Do not rez it, or you'll get some really silly results. Ok, go ahead and try it! It's meant to be worn.
The engine is on by default.
b. Controls
Same as your av. How easy is that? You may have to gather a little forward momentum to take off if you're close to the ground or on a prim. Combine keys, fly sideways in mouselook, just use your ordinary movement controls!
LEFT clicking in Mouselook fires the active weapon. See Section 3, "Weapons".
c. Issues
You may notice your aircraft dissappear when crossing sims. Just zoom in and out and it will reappear.
2. Menu
a. Intro
To make the menu appear, click the Helicopter.
The menu is pretty self explanatory. The "Weapons" button and the Target Button open up subdialogs. The menu will also tell you your absolute height, target if any, active weapon and your height above ground.
b. Lights
Turn on and off with the buttons. Search light is fixed at the same position and bearing as the vehicle, mouselook is very useful here. 30m Range!
c. Nav Lights
Turn on and off via buttons. Blinking red lights on the tail ond the underside.
d. Silent / EngSnd
Turns on and off engine sounds. Stealth!
e. Target
Click this button and bring up a dialog with buttons for 11 nearest avatars. Choose an avatar and the target will be acquired.
f. Laser
If Target is acquired, will aim a harmless particle beam at the target avatar.
g. Weapons
Open the Weapons Dialog. The minigun, rockets and "pop smoke" dont need targets to be set; the cager does.
e. Reset
Resets script on the fly. If for some reason you don't see the "Mouselook" button at the bottom center of the viewer,
just click this.
3. Weapons
a. Rockets (SS-1 Rocket Launcher)
The rockets fire straight forward from the vehicle. They are temp on rez and will dissaper in about 70 seconds. No prim litter! Push script affects avatars in its range. Looks cool.
b. BE-103 Minigun
Here is death! Triple barrel minigun fires big bullets with push scripts. Fires 600 rounds per minute (Like a RL Uzi). Authentic original sounds.
Hewitt's Favorite!
c. Cager (Rocket LAuncher)
Rezzes a cage around the target av, and anyone within 10m of the av.
d. Pop Smoke
Drops a random colored smoke bomb, Straight down. Use at least 10m above ground.
Great effect, good for crowd control.
e. Smoke - white smokescreen behind you. Awesome.
4. Sample Use
The craft is attached. You encounter your target, locating them with the HewHud (included). Click the helicopter, bring up the menu, click Target. This will show buttons with the closest 12 av names to you. Select the target name, a confirmation message will appear.
Select the weapon to use by clicking the "Weapons" button and selecting your choice. When you want to attack, go to mouselook by using the button on the screen, and fire using the left mouse button. That's it!
