Created by ZoraSlade Karu, this beautiful model is compiled of originally created mesh with LOD models, textures, and advanced lighting maps (Specular/Normals). The aircraft has been built to be flexible, easy to use and modify, even for the casual SL Aviator.

<ZSK> PA-38 Texture Applier script ~ (Full Perm)
<ZSK> PA-38 Tomahawk HUD ~ (No Modify)
Features:
*High detailed Mesh model at only 58 Land impact (23 LI physics), and high quality textures with Normal/Specular mapping.
*Smoothly animated control surfaces and functioning objects.
*Fully functioning, touch activated, Cockpit and instrument panel with dials reading accurate scaled information on the aircraft's behavior; Artificial Horizon, Turn and Slip coordinator, indicated airspeed, Vertical speed indicator etc. and hide able Yokes.
*Mode B and mode A flight physics; Mode B for easy cruising, Mode A for more realistic physics behavior such as stalls and spins. Heavy braking causes the nose gear to shrink under load.
*Wx Weather system which allows crosswind landings and random encounters with turbulent winds. Comes with 6 preset weather conditions to fly in. SL wind is supported.
*6 Camera positions to choose from.
*Smoothly transitioning Engine sounds.
*Pilot and Co-Pilot controls and animations. Seat adjustment system is also available.
*Landing lights, Cockpit lights, and external lights with projected lighting sources.
*Multiple External liveries and internal cabin skins with system for custom add-on textures.
*Aircraft can be converted from Vehicle to Display model via menu. This disables unneeded scripts.
*Crash effects; Propeller takes damage with Safe Mode turned off. Water ditching physics and system. Repair the aircraft with the Repair system.
*Flight log system; Keep track of your flight progress. This feature logs flight time, distance, and sim borders crossed.
*Rezzable Tie-down models and accessories for Display mode. Yo may also add your own.
*Edit mode which allows you to turn all Link sensitive scripts off and on for Linking/Delinking parts of the plane. Some moving parts (front landing gear, window shades, etc) can use custom position. Just add the position vectors into the linked prim's description.
*Free Desk Model for display, also compatible with CPAT and texture appliers.
*Update system for free instant updates.

Beautiful Aircraft.But comes with problems
I bought this plane in June and have been very impressed with it. It flies better than any other aircraft I own . I would happily give it 5 stars or more if possible. The problem seems to be that the creator is no longer available to contact in SL a list of alternative people to contact is provided but they Don,t reply to any messages I send . Its so a shame that there is no longer any back up available.
Wonderful Little Plane, Especially For Relaxed Sightseeing And The Joy of Flying
I'm almost ashamed to admit that the PA-38 Tomahawk essentially stayed in my inventory for well over a year after purchase. Like a kid in a candy store, I chased after and bought dozens of shiny and faster airplanes by other builders. Recently, on a whim, I took my overlooked PA-38 out for a spin and...WOW.... The level of attention to detail and scripting surpasses just about everything else I own. Several people poured an exceptional amount of skill and love into this unassuming little trainer. Sim crossing is remarkably seamless, flight physics are wonderful (with selectable options). She's full of personality and the experience of flying with her is FUN - the opposite of too many other planes that simply move in response to keyboard and mouse input,
and are ultimately...boring. Even the engine sound throttles up with a smoothness of change in pitch and volume that only comes from...TRULY CARING about what you're building. She is SLOW....but I like that. You can fly over your favorite places and discover and explore new ones while really having the time to see some remarkable landscapes and houses. This is simply a wonderful little airplane that I can unreservedly recommend. 10 Stars out of 5 : )
Great Trainer and first Airplane
This is a well made and well Scripted product. It has nice detail and a great feel through crossings and other adverse flight conditions. We have adopted it as our trainer for our flight school for beginning SL aviators. Thank you for the nice work!
Nice work
A feature this shares with their LJ45XR, the ability to resize the whole aircraft is very much appreciated as I am not 8 foot tall which some aircraft, most boats, and land vehicles that are ridiculously oversized for... BIG THANK YOU for this ability. The detail is good, very easy to fly and when you want some excitement you can use flight model A and or use the virtual weather system which is fun. My only issues are this flies very slow even at 100% and if you run into a nasty security orb you might not have the speed to rush to safety (I prefer dual engines).... and sometimes when flying in areas with heavy lag (not sure if this is part of the problem) I will get the script error llSetPrimitiveParams error... this does not happen often and thus far hard to reproduce. Another plus again like their LJ45XR this is modifiable which is a feature I love to have.
Thumbs up
Ein tolles Flugzeug. Es macht sehr viel Spaß diese Kiste zu fliegen und SL von oben zu erkundigen. Hier stimmt einfach alles. I LOVE IT
Excellence Aflight
I had enjoyed the P40-E from <ZSK> enough to take a chance on the PA-38 Tomahawk, and I'm glad I did because this is an absolute pleasure to fly. The flight engine feels more responsive and more like actually flying than almost everything else out there that I've tried. I would recommend this to beginners as well as advanced pilots, with the dual-mode flight system you can make things less challenging or crank up the difficulty. Read the manual! Because it actually teaches you valuable things, like how to recover from a spin, or the very specific stall you should avoid with this aircraft.
Speaking of spins, this is one of the only aircraft I've found where you can actually put yourself into one (which is accurate, one of the reasons this aircraft exists in the real world was a demand for trainers that could be spun and require pilot actions to recover). Excellent attention to detail in the cockpit and the airframe accompany the scripting and really make it a challenge to go back to less well-built aircraft.
My favourite part of <ZSK> aircraft is that the details are there, if you want to get involved. Too many aircraft hit the grid with very little direct control over fundamental flight mechanics, or worse yet include them as "automatic" features. It isn't a prerequisite, you can have plenty of fun with the simpler flight mode, but it's valuable to me to have the option available and the PA-38 Tomahawk managed to surpass expectations.
