Lavanya Nauvari Sari

Originating from Maharashtra it can sometimes be referred to as Kashta Sari or Marathi sari and is the traditional attire of the women from this region.
This particular drape, which translates as 9 yards, is longer in length than a standard sari, allowing it to be be parted between the legs and tucked in the back. This creates a pants-like structure which was favorable for easier movement... such as horse-riding or dancing! its ideal to role play strong female characters :)
