Is the price tag justified compared to the competitors? That was my main issue with it as there was only one review so far.
The positive:
- Service! (Dan is super helpful and actually listens to you as a customer. But don't expect him to add a coffee function. I had reasonable requests/fixes addressed for the TV)
- The unpacking experience.
- The sounds
- The looks if you prefer a more modern or even scifi looking TV. It has no casing like other TVs. Its made to be wall mounted.
- An effect like Philips Ambilight! Yes it works. Tested it with a Daft punk video. Its a nice unique addition.
- The HUD is made for ease of use. Compared to other TVs with blue menu this is by far better.
The negative:
- Fullscreen button. Its not going complete fullscreen as you would expect it. The TV has manual fullscreen button called infinity fullscreen...so you can make it fullscreen manually. But a one click no borders click would be amazing. (as I write this...Dan is working on fixing it)
- TV stand. If you would prefer having a TV with a stand. That does not come with it yet. But for example that is what I made Dan aware of and he is actively working on improving it.
- No way to turn off the Ambilight yet in case you would prefer to not have it.
So is the price worth it?
I would say yes. If you look for a TV which is giving you an easy good looking experience than this one is the right one for you. It is a premium looking TV with premium features.
Worth it
I recently made this purchase of the Zyon TV it was one of the best investments on this game. I appreciate the creator for his kindness and made sure that the product was working properly all the way before he left the room. I thank him for making sure my guess was able to see as well.
