The "arancine" are a typical speciality of Sicilian cuisine.
They are fried or, less commonly, baked rice balls, having a diameter of 8-10 cm, filled usually with ragu' (meat sauce), but also with tomato sauce, mozzarella, peas, and other things. On the outside they are simply breadcrumbs.
The name derives from their typical colour, which reminds the one of an orange (the Italian word for orange is arancia, and in Sicilian, arancini means "little oranges").
L'arancina e' una specialita' della cucina siciliana. Si tratta di una palla di riso fritta, di diametro di 8-10 cm, farcita con ragu', altre volte con composti di salsa di pomodoro, mozzarella, piselli o altro. Il nome deriva dalla forma e dal colore tipici, che ricordano un'arancia.

I love to eat these IRL and so it'd be fitting to have this as a food item for my avi in SL as well. Besides, why not time your noming on Arancina while your avatar noms on one as well? :D
I'm sure a giant plate of these is in order at some point in the future. All this talk about how much I like the Arancina food item for my avi is making me crave them IRL at the moment. XD
