It can be hard to follow someone in Second Life; if someone says "follow me" and goes flying off over hill and dale in an even slightly crowded region, it's all too easy to lose track of them. This script lets you specify a person to follow, and if you get too far from them it will exert a force that will make your avatar walk (or run or fly or etc) in their direction, until you are close enough.
Usage
Wear the object. (Anywhere on the body; wearing it as a HUD attachment hasn't been tested.) Then to follow someone, say their name on channel 15 (like "/15 Dale Innis", you know).
You will then begin following that person (sometimes for some reason you have to move a bit first using the arrow keys or whatever before the following will start).
To stop following them, say "off" on channel 15 ("/15 off" or "/15 off").
Doesn't work
Dunno if the work is no longer supported but all I get is "Did not find anyone named xxxx" even tho the person is right in front of me.
Great! My partner and I love it! Chat and keep up to your loved one at the same time!
This is such a useful gadget that it should be listed as a feature provided to everyone by Linden Labs. For any two avatars going exploring together, one can lead and the other can automatically follow. You can type easily as you are walking together, you can shop together with ease, it is cool! It won't rotate your avatar for you, you have to do that yourself, but if they crash or TP away, when they return it will start following them again for you. Well done!
