Only 2 commands to use:
"/11 afk" to get afk visible
"/11 back" to get afk invisible

Product was updated, almost there!
The creator updated this in version 2.0 to allow you to select your color and your glow intensity, but you still cannot make it full bright or modify it yourself.
I'm going to leave a five star updated review, but I really think this product could benefit from being full mod. Or at least provide a full bright option, as under certain lighting conditions the halo isn't very visible.
