Wow, glad I got the demo.
These pants have a built-in crotch gap big enough for a wedding procession to amble through easily. If you don't like that particular look, stay away from these. No amount of slider-fiddling will make your legs look closer together (like a normal human being's would).
However, crotch-gap fetishists of the Invisible Pony Rider variety will LOVE these.
