See item in Second LifeDoes what I was looking for but a LOT of work
These scripts do exactly what they should do, which is awesome...but I have 4 metal faces to 7 different bodies, on the one top and that's a lot of scripts I have to edit, and place in all the buttons. Not to mention the lag the hud will cause. Do you have one that has 1 script for multiple faces, and maybe a configuration notecard, that will do the same job please? Thank you for the great price too!
Amazing product
Amazing product very easy to use with the sample best texture change hud on market place ty
Would have been better with better instructions.
The included instructions were not detailed enough for someone who didn't know what they were doing at all... but I got help from nejraTu (who wrote a detailed review on this product) so, I am just going to say thank you for the scripts that allow the change of textures on multiple faces and objects in a linkset. :)
Tips (aka things I didn't understand right away)
1. you only need one "(object)" script per linkset.
2. when you have different textures to change with one button, you use multiple "(button)" scripts in one button. Basically a script per texture per face so, use the "LINK_SET" and "ALL_SIDES" options when you can.
3. you're only editing line 8 in the "(object)" script, and lines 8,9,10, and 11 in the "(button)" script.
Big thanks to the creator for the script comments and reminders within the script, which made more sense once I knew what I was looking at. :)
Great
I needed one without configuring notecard and for faces. This works as described. Thanks.
Love this - now that I know how to fully utilize its capabilities!
I purchased this 20 months ago and it's been working great for changing a single texture on an object. I just now figured out how to use the MF function for more than one texture. I'm not a programmer, I don't write scripts, so it was a lot of trial and error. And of course life and other projects got in the way. Even though it was a lot of work to learn the MF function, it was a great learning experience and I'm very happy with the product.
Depends on what you need
If you're deciding whether to buy this, the question to ask yourself is, do you already have a texture change HUD script? If you don't, then this is a perfectly fine one and will work, and it's cheaper than the one I started with! It will work fine.
If you already have a texture change script from somewhere else, you don't need this one. It doesn't really explain how to make it change multiple faces--I still had to figure that out on my own, and I learned more from the comments on this item than from the item. (Hint: you can put more than one script in a button.)
