Noren curtains are used in Japanese shops to decorate the front of the shop, advertise and/or to act as doorways.
These are mesh curtains, there are 2 types (the long ones to go along eaves or above the front of the shop, and the doorway type to cover an enterance). The doorway comes in 2 versions, one that animates opening when someone runs into it (2LI) and one that is just static and phantom (1 LI). The small flag type is 2LI.
Both shapes of curtain have 8 textures each that can be changed by the owner by touching the curtain rod.
(If you're wondering, the writing on the flag noren says "Irrashaimase" which is a welcome used for shops, and on the doorway one says "Yu" which is for the door of a spa)
